1958

WESSEL & COMPANY proudly traces its beginnings to 1958, when the late Charles E. Wessel purchased the Johnstown office of a large regional accounting firm.

Mr. Wessel was a dedicated, community minded leader who was involved in numerous civic organizations in the Johnstown area.  He established principles of conscientiousness, dedication and pride that still prevail in the firm today. 

 

 

1982

In 1982 Mr. Wessel passed the baton and the responsibility for leadership of the firm to Robert J. Eyer.

 

 

 

 

1984

Barry R. Gilchrist became a Shareholder and provides leadership for the Tax Department.

1994

WESSEL & COMPANY made history with the first female shareholder of a CPA firm in the region. Karen A. Varga became a shareholder and leads the Audit Department.

2005

WESSEL & COMPANY joined CPA Association International, a national CPA firm association.

2006

The future of the firm was established with the addition of Stephanie A. Stohon and Thomas R. Seitz as Shareholders.

2008

Wessel & Company celebrates 50 Years of commitment to clients and community!
