Background
Mr. Gilchrist is a partner in the firm and has over 35 years of public accounting experience, all of which have been at Wessel & Company.
Barry is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh with a BA in political science and history. He has a BS degree from St. Francis University and Masters Degree in taxation from Robert Morris University.
Professional and Industry Experience
Mr. Gilchrist has supervised numerous audits covering a diverse range of clients. He has worked extensively with individual, corporate and partnership accounts including preparation and review of all types of tax returns. Mr. Gilchrist has been extensively involved in litigation support and business valuation engagements. In this capacity he has provided financial analysis and consultation and is regarded as a negotiator and expert witness. He has also been involved with negotiations on the purchase and sale of closely held family businesses.
Barry meets the continuing education requirements of the profession.
